Backyard Boogie Race
Melford Town Center, Bowie, MD
GII hosted a USA Cycling sanctioned circuit race that was well supported with 378 registered racers.  It included categories for juniors from ages 9-18, women, men, masters, and all level races.  As a result of trying to encourage cyclists to give racing a try for the first time, over 35 one- day licenses were sold.  This race even tapped into the young kids under 8 years old who wanted to try out their skills in front of hundreds of cheering fans.
